We've done a lot of demolition--tearing off old plaster and such. I don't have those pictures on me right now, but I'll post them soon. We're pretty much done with demolition now and moving on to puttnig things back together.

Now....on to more important news. This is Emily and I with our new baby neice. Her name is Keira Noelle.

Keith and Melissa are proud and wonderful parents and Keira is healthy and doing really well. I really tried to convince them to name her Donnie Rae, but they declined. I think it was their number 2 choice. I will post more pictures of her later as she is by far the most precious thing in the world.

    So, it's summer.

Well, time is just flying by, isn't it? I found myself a little sick this weekend and I realized not only my body, but my mind, soul, spirit, etc. also needed a little rest. Sometimes I can push so hard, but there comes a time when you just need to stop. I hope someday I'll learn to not take on too much.

Meanwhile, while I'm resting this weekend, my wife is weilding a sledgehammer to blow a chimney to smitherines. We bought a house from her parents, but it needs a little fixing up. So I'm actually home because I'm working this weekend, but Emily and her parents are up in Huntertown working on the house. We spent last weekend tearing plaster and lathe off a few walls. Maybe I'll eventually post some pictures as we progress. It will be quite a fun project for our summer.

No big trips for us this summer, but we hope to take some vacation days to work on our house, and if we're lucky we'll at least get a weekend away sometime. July 13-15 is the Annual CCWC Church Campout, so that will be exciting as always.

I've taken to listening to some Joyce Meyer tapes lately. The woman speaks the truth.

  • I have been posting pictures of our wedding for friends in Argentina who have not gotten to see them. I realized Donny and Ruth probably haven't seen any pictures either. I can't wait to spend time with you guys like a couple of old married folks. I hope you all enjoyed the pictures. The Birkman and family send their love to South Korea, Indy, Ft Wayne, West Coast, etc. Does everyone know there is going to be another baby birky? oh yes. Also, my brother and his wife will be birthing a baby haarer sometime in July for anyone who has not heard that bit of exciting news.
